Here I am
This is one of two apps that works together and this is the sending (starting) app.
The other one is 'There you are'.
'There you are' is a receiving app and it can show the location on Google Maps.

This app gets the location by GPS and sends it together with an optional message to a selected phone number. Three receiver phone numbers can be saved and you can change them anytime.
You can add phonenumbers from your contact list.
In the simplest case you just start the app and after a while you get a GPS location.
When you got that the button 'Send SMS' was activated and yellow.
Then you can press the button and a SMS will be sent and the button will be green.
The SMS contains the GPS location, date, time an an optional text.
The optional message can be written any time before the SMS is sent.
It can be used to inform or tell anyone (parent, friend, partner . . .) where you are when you are travelling, like an old-fashioned postcard, or just where you are at the moment.
It can also be used when you need help, e.g. if you are lost or if you want to be fetched.
